Meds Alone Won’t Protect You From Recurring Heart Attacks and Strokes

If you have cardiovascular disease, controlling your cholesterol level and blood pressure through medication isn’t enough to protect you from a recurring heart attack or stroke. The American Heart Association says you need to follow a heart-healthy diet for added insurance. This press release explains a study conducted at the Population Health Research Institute at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada that illustrates the benefits of following such a diet.
